I think 13 tells us in a round about way that 1/2" and 3/4" steel can only be
used as "Pilot Line" detector piping per Chapter 8 and Chapter 6. Look at Note
"B" in the allowed pipe size table in Chapter 6...it sends you to the pilot
line section in Chapter 8 and restricts those sizes to that use...at least
thats the way I read it.
