The drywall makes no difference.  You could have 36" of concrete top and bottom 
(I'm exaggerating), and it wouldn't matter.  This is because it meets the 
definition of a combustible concealed space, so it must meet the sprinkler 
requirements for a combustible concealed space.  Fires really do happen in 
these spaces, and when they do, fire fighters have been injured or died from 
the floor above collapsing on them, because they can't find the fire to fight, 
despite smoke being everywhere.  The fire department should be trained to look 
for this, but it still happens.  I'm glad you asked the question, even if it 
has been asked before, because this is important to get right.
