The best way is to use a single main, hung low, with 1" or 1-1/4" sprigs to the back to back sprinklers at the ridge. If you have a mechanical chase that extends in to the attic, you may have to be below that to make sure everything can drain. If you can coordinate with the attic catwalk, you want it to be offset of center and you'll hang your main on the side that the catwalk is not located. Be sure to "restrain" your sprigs as they will be over 4 feet. Sometimes the framing at the peak can be a little funky and it is easier to adjust a smaller line. Also, I will put 1” outlets on any welded pipe for attic sprinklers, in case sprigs become necessary.
