Dear All,

I am having a problem when choosing in-rack sprinkler head with FM approved,
and having the right temperature.

As per FM Global Property Loss Prevention Data Sheets 8-9, March 2010
Interim Revision July 2021,

2.3.4.3 K-Factors, Nominal Temperature Rating, and RTI Rating of In-Rack
Storage Sprinklers
2.3.4.3.1 Use nominally rated 160°F (70°C) FM Approved in-rack sprinklers for
all in-rack sprinkler
installations.

I cannot find actual sprinkler head approved by FM and having this rated 160°F
(70°C), for example, this model of Viking (bulb type)

Should I follow NFPA13,
Chapter 23 - ESFR Requirements for Storage Applications
23.4.4 Sprinklers shall be intermediate temperature-rated ESFR pendent
sprinklers with a nominal K-factor of K-25.2 (360).

Checking the Viking ESFR sprinkler head, it seems only the fusible type is
ranked as ESFR:
Early Suppression Fast Response (ESFR) | Viking Group
Inc.<https://www.vikinggroupinc.com/products/viking-fire-sprinklers/storage/esfr-early-suppression-fast-response-sprinklers>

But the temperature of Viking ESFR sprinkler head having FM approved is also
not rated 160°F (70°C), but 74°C and 96°C

Please can you advise.
