I've seen dry heads installed in threaded couplings attached to 1" pipe, then ran back to a branchline. Just happened to notice on one of Victaulic's installation brochures they prohibit dry heads from being attached to elbows & threaded couplings. The elbow part was well known, not so much the coupling part. Curious why you can thread into a 1" tee but not a 1" coupling?
