What did you tell him? My understanding is that you perform 2 tests: one with
PLD enabled and another with PLD disabled.

I called and talked to Mike yesterday. I believe he is all set.

Thanks,

Call R.T. Stearns in Portsmouth N.H. 603-319-4171. They will absolutely
know. Tell them Wally sent you. There will likely be a fee for call, but…
They will know for sure.

Ok this is a new one for me. Have a diesel driven fire pump that has a PLD
pressure limiting driver. When it comes to the annual flow test, how do I test
this properly per Nfpa? Would this be tested as a variable speed pump per nfpa?
I know on start up you disable the PLD to test and set relief valve pressure.
On annual flow test the net pressure is low because RPMs are limited. Do I
disable the PLD for the test to compare with pump data plate? OR use RPM
correction formula with PLD on? OR test as a variable speed pump? Sorry first
PLD pump for me this is cool stuff just want to make sure I test it right. Not
finding much info on PLD PUMPS 8n nfpa.

Ps called the manufacturer they could not help with annual testing requirements.
