Please also let your colleague know, there are many resources out there for 
learning hydraulic calculations, using flow and pressure.

It will help us all realize, 1000gpm from 1", thru a k5.6 or 4.2, would be 
impressive.

The intent of the ITC is to simulate the flow of one sprinkler in order to test 
the alarm activation. The fire pump has nothing to do with it. There is no 
measuring the flow from it. However, if you colleague is going to pitot an ITC, 
call me. I want to watch.
