I completely agree and I'm quite pleased to read your point of view on
Spyder v2.0.

Now Spyder v2.0 has 98% of its target features so I'm going to
concentrate only on bug fixes. I'll try and keep working on its
stability rather than on adding new features (of course there will be
*minor* new features as well).
