Yes, it is possible. First, select "Tools...Preferences" and set the interface options to use vertical dockwidget titlebars and vertical dockwidget tabs. After that it's just a matter of showing the desired windows using the "View...Windows and toolbars" submenu and then dragging the various windows around using their title bars until you arrive at the desired arrangement.
Thanks, got it. Took me a little to figure out how to get the widgets to drop on top of each other and how to force the stacked horizontal layout.
