Oh, you guys are going to love this: I cleaned out everything that had to do with spyder: spyderlib, spyderplugins, .spyder2, and the binary. When I run boostrap on beta4, it still freezes. But, get this! when I run strace -o error.log python boostrap.py, everything goes off without a hitch! When I run it again afterwards without strace, no luck. When I attach it to the spyder process after it runs, all I get is
Process 11445 attached - interrupt to quit futex(0x3b7d6a0, FUTEX_WAIT_PRIVATE, 2, NULL I can attach an strace on a successful launch, if that will be any help.
