Maybe it was an error to make python 3 too different than python 2, but 
what is done (5 years ago) is done.

IPython 2.0 arrives in january and it would be nice to have Spyder 2.3 
released enough time before :
- so that python distributions can have it well tested, and include it day 
1,
- everybody upgrading its python distribution will get the refresh.

The list you're pinpointing looks a little different than Carlos message, 
but I'll take a look at it.
