Hey William,

Sorry, this feature is planned for 2.4, to be released (I hope) by the end of the year. Big problem is IPython is a quite fast moving target and they have changed a lot of internals since I made my prototype.

Cheers,
Carlos

Howdy Carlos,

Was this feature, by any chance, included in the latest Spyder 2.3 beta? -> "prototype of a
Notebook plugin for Spyder."
Thanks!

I'm also looking forward to this and definitely willing to test

            Hi William,

I'm afraid this is not possible at the moment. Right now
            Spyder can only
introspect kernels started by itself (i.e. the ones used
            by our IPython
consoles). The reasons lie in some technical difficulties
            we have to
connect directly to any IPython kernel. We intend to fix
            them during the
            next six months or so.

But the good news is that we already have a working
            prototype of a
Notebook plugin for Spyder. We hope to make it publicly
            available before
            the end of the year.

            Cheers,
            Carlos
