Hi all,
On the behalf of Spyder's development team, I'm pleased to announce the
first and only release candidate of our upcoming 2.3 version.
We've been working on this version for over a year now and as far as we
know is very stable. There are still some minor bugs to squash but we
encourage all people who like the bleeding edge to give it a try.
The most important improvement of this release is that it supports
Python 3.2/3.3/3.4 besides (of course) Python 2.6/2.7. This version also
comes with highlighting of cells in the Editor, i.e. portions of a file
separated by comments of the form "# %%" (like Matlab cells), a new
shortcut to quickly move to the IPython console (Ctrl+Shift+I) and
several important bugfixes.
This release comes almost a month and a half after beta4 and we feel we
are quite close to the final one. To download it please go to our
Bitbucket Downloads page:

And don't forget to follow Spyder updates/news on the project website

Enjoy!
