I didn't mean to have a harsh tone toward Continuum (or Enthought -- I'm a 
happy user). I agree with you, and I think that they both do really great 
work in making scientific python available to the masses at a very 
affordable price. Just out of curiosity, have you contacted Continuum about 
possible funding? Since they integrate Spyder into Anaconda, I wonder if 
there is any possibility that they would give the project a donation or 
something for this sort of stuff. Or maybe they already do...
