So, does that imply that the "file base directory" is the same as the 
"current file directory" (dir that the file being edited is in)?  I think 
that's what you mean.

[Aside: If Spyder hopes to attract a wider following, the documentation 
should make this stuff clear. Users shouldn't have to guess about what UI 
elements are for. Consistent names for things would help a lot, too.]
