Why ? Can you develop your point ?

I'm personally in favor of moving to git because I'm more used to it and I 
find the branching mechanism simpler.

I think that the most important point regarding github is that most (all?) 
python scientific projects are on github. Spyder would gain a lot more 
dynamism than what we have on bitbucket (even if it's already better than 
googlecode).
