When installing spyder (2.2.5+dfsg-1) on Ubuntu 14.04 I see this message:

Preparing to unpack .../pylint_1.1.0-1_all.deb ...
ERROR: pylint is broken - called emacs-package-install as a new-style
add-on, but has no compat file.
Unpacking pylint (1.1.0-1) ...

Then later on, I see this message:

Setting up pylint (1.1.0-1) ...
ERROR: pylint is broken - called emacs-package-install as a new-style
add-on, but has no compat file.
Install pylint for emacs

Is this important? I'm not an emacs user, and don't have emacs installled.

Spyder seems to be working. Do I need to do anything? If so, what?

Thanks for your help.
