I've no help on the charts, but the line numbers on the Mac has been reported and accepted as a bug (doesn't just affect retina as I have it on a non retina macbook). As you change the font size in the editor window the font size of the line numbers does not change. Editor line number font size does not increase as you increase the code font size on Mac system #2397 <https://github.com/spyder-ide/spyder/issues/2397>
