Hi,

I'd Spyder is very stable by now, although there are some areas where it's lacking compared to Matlab (specially debugging). Besides, Spyder works with Python 3 since two years ago :-)

Cheers,
Carlos

    All,

I see things are changing fast. I would like to transition from MatLab to a Spyder based environment. However, I figured I would wait until Spyder was working with Python 3.x. I know this is still in its early stages, but would this current version be stable enough for me to get started on? If I really just want to be productive, should I wait till V3.1?

While I enjoy playing around with code, I am not a software engineer so I doubt I will be able to provide any real help to the project.

thank in advance,

Austin Downey.
