Hi,
After a bit of research I found that the current version of Qt in
Anaconda (and also in our DMG installers) doesn't support Sierra. So we
need to update it in both :-)
I'll add a proper answer in StackOverflow so other people can know about
this, but thanks a lot for bringing that up to our attention!! I hope to
have new packages for Anaconda next week.

This installer is built using pure wheels, not Anaconda packages, so
maybe it doesn't have the problems you report :-)
