I updated spyder to version 3.2.6, which automatically updated PyQt to version 5.10. As a result, file saving took a long time. It seems like the file is saved immediately, but the spinner is shown for about 10 seconds. After a downgrade of PyQt to 5.9, everything is back to normal.
