No, it's a new message. Almost all files in ../users and
../templates/rshepard have been owned by me, not the httpd owner.
Regardless, I changing to nobody.nobody did not appear to fix the error.
What I've not been able to find is _which_ file has the permissions
error.
Is it ../templates/rshepard/check.tex or something else? The error
message
prepended a numeric string to the file name.
Following permissions should sort out this issue:
chmod 755 users
chown nobody:nobody users # where nobody is the web server user
