I could go back to opensuse 11.2 but it also had problems with perl, although not as severe. Or I could try another distro but all my experience is with opensuse. I would hate to have a steep learning curve. If I changed to Ubuntu would I be able to install the operating system over opensuse and keep my data? That's how I usually upgrade the system. I hate to spend another day on this but it is essential that I get the accounting system up and running. Any suggestions are welcome.
