Armaghan,

What do you suggest I should do. I could go back to opensuse 11.2 but it
also had problems  with perl, although not as severe. Or I could try another
distro but all my experience is with opensuse. I would hate to have a steep
learning curve. If I changed to Ubuntu would I be able to install the
operating system over opensuse and keep my data? That's how I usually
upgrade the system. I hate to spend another day on this but it is essential
that I get the accounting system up and running. Any suggestions are
welcome.
