The password is encrypted with the username as "salt". If the username changes, the digest is no longer the same. For user "admin", you get the new digest on command line with:

        perl -e'print crypt("<password>","admin")."\n";'

Replace <password> with your password.

Hello,
I have upgraded to version 3.0.2 but I'm no longer able to log in as
admin. I changed the logins in the members file by adding @dataset to
each and it works great. I copied one of the sections and changed it to
admin@dataset <mailto:admin@dataset> but I cannot login. I get a message
that says Incorrect Password. I thought the password would be the same
as for the section I copied but it doesn't work.
I'm wondering if it would work to just delete the password from the
admin@dataset <mailto:admin@dataset> sections. Would that allow me to
login and then add a password through the system?
