I have tried this several times but I must be doing something wrong. I got the 
new digest with the command you gave but it still doesn't work. I placed it 
after password= in the members file, is that correct? I tried several different 
passwords and still no luck. I also tried using the command with my username 
and 
it came up with a different digest than what is in the members file. I'm still 
able to log in as user but I will need to log in as admin soon. Thanks you.

The password is encrypted with the username as "salt". If the username 
changes, the digest is no longer the same. For user "admin", you get the 
new digest on command line with:

    perl -e'print crypt("<password>","admin")."\n";'

Replace <password> with your password.
