Hello Alf, 

Yes, SQL-Ledger will indeed show you the amount of stock on hand when
you enter an invoice to sell some inventory. When you choose -> AR ->
Sales Invoice and enter an article number or description of the product
you wish to sell

a.) you will either get a "Select items" list showing you all the
different articles available that correspond to the details you entered
and each amount of stock on hand will be listed under "Qty";

b.) or if the article number of description you entered only corresponds
to one article, that article will appear on the item row and if you then
place your mouse pointer on the "Qty" field on that same row, a small
window will appear informing you of the amount of stock on hand for that
article.
