There is no actual warning. Just places to check as already described. The system will*silently* will let you invoice an order even if the qty would result in negative numbers. Generally speaking the accounting program has almost no warnings, and will *silently* let you do all manner of atrocities (and in 9 years I've done a lot of things I shouldn't have ever done, but at least now I know!)

Hello Alf,

Yes, SQL-Ledger will indeed show you the amount of stock on hand when you enter an invoice to sell some inventory. When you choose -> AR -> Sales Invoice and enter an article number or description of the product you wish to sell

a.) you will either get a "Select items" list showing you all the different articles available that correspond to the details you entered and each amount of stock on hand will be listed under "Qty";

b.) or if the article number of description you entered only corresponds to one article, that article will appear on the item row and if you then place your mouse pointer on the "Qty" field on that same row, a small window will appear informing you of the amount of stock on hand for that article.

Hello
I am new user.
When I enter a invoice to sell some inventory, does SL give any warning if I try to sell more quantity than warehouse stock on hand ? Or does SL silently let me sell too much stock, so I have problem when warehouse picks the goods for shipment ?
