I do recall that it took a few minutes to transfer 120,000 records via DTS over
ADSL, but I appreciate that the scientific approach might be in order. Choose
easily compressed data (i.e. all the same) and do the doubling thing.
Do you recall the name of the book? Another thing on the wishlist would be if
the book had information on the DTS file format, because the Enterprise Manager
interface leaves a lot to be desired...
Unfortunately we're fresh out of Network Admins right now, so I guess that
option is out then. ;)
Is DTS implemented in VB, or is there just some sort of API for it? Where would
one find the source?
