Hi Kay
"Publisher" can be the same machine with "publication" Well it depends I try
to say this as you are publisher of magazine called "Penthouse" which is
your data server and you have distributor called "Vendor" in this
"publication" and you have subscriber called "noughty"
Penthouse can take roles as vendor for reason it cost less since you donot
need to set setup new server called vendor however this will make Penthouse
inefficient (" extra work to do double job like what Michael mention in his
email")
That's why you saw the article that show Penthouse and vendors are on
different servers
However it doesnot make sense if Penthouse need tobe a subscriber
subscribers are your client and normally in different servers in this case
myhouse or anybody's house. Now if you want to make your publisher's job
easier now you have to decide
you want to send the magazines to your subscriber or you ask the subscriber
to pick the magazines themselves
Kay everything can be done using your enteprise manager and make sure your
"agent" running at the same acct as your server
Regards
snapple
