I have a whole bunch of rather large log files (50mb+). I need to loop through these with old CFDIRECTORY and read them line by line to pull out information. Now obviously CFFILE dies trying to read these.
I've been searching around and DTS/Bulk Import seem to be the key here. But I need to send files to be imported on the fly, i.e. the file will constantly change. All the DTS stuff I can find involves setting up the package for a specific file then invoking this.
Ideally I just want to loop through a directory of log files, dump them into a table through DTS/Bulk Import and then do some post querying to get what I want! I have no idea on the DTS / BULK IMPORT code involved.
Would be grateful if someone could provide me with a method of doing this or point me in the right direction!
