In Enterprise manager when you edit an index it shows the columns you
have indexed in that certain index then next to that it says DESC and
can be checked or unchecked. Now weather that works or not I am not
sure...I have never made a DESC index.

Subject: Can indexes in SQL Server be descendant?
To: SQL <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Hi,

The SQL syntax for the CREATE INDEX in SQL Server stipulates a
parameter ASC | DESC can be used.
When I execute a commande with this parameter set to DESC, the command
works fine (no error message).
However, when I look at the column through the ODBC API, the coloumn
is said indexed ASCendant.
Furthermore, I cannot see any facility to create a DESCendant index in
the SQL Server manager, so,
is this functionality really available?
