Thanks Mike. I'll follow up on your suggestions.

I learned SSIS 2005 when it first came out by reading the three main books
and going to some Microsoft / SQL Server conferences, along with the
hands-on work. Differences with the new version can be learned through the
documentation, blog posts and conference videos. I don't have any specific
blog posts to recommend since I read them too long ago to remember.

Microsoft doesn't advertise this, but most conference presentations can be
watched for free online by registering at the conference Web site. I
couldn't go to TechEd this year, but I am still able to watch the recorded
presentations at http://northamerica.msteched.com. Presentations at MS
conferences are usually of high quality and I know there were SSIS 2012
presentations done at the 2011 and 2012 TechEds. I've learned valuable
information and best-practice guidelines at these presentations that was not
available anywhere else. Many presentations are given by people actively
working on the SSIS team at Microsoft, such as Matt Masson.
SQLPASS.org and SQLBits.com are two other sources for good online
presentations. I assume the for-profit training sites like Lynda.com have
great videos as well.

If you are relatively new to SSIS then the best bet is to start with one of
the books. I haven't read any of the 2012 books, although Brian Knight is a
good author and trainer who I would recommend.
