The mailing list software ALREADY works according to RFC 822. Go back, re-read the sentence you just posted and note that the emphasis belongs on the word "reply" not on "super-sedes" [sic]. Sometimes I want to reply to the message sender; Sometimes I want to reply to the _address_ the sender uses; Sometimes I want to follow up to the list; Sometimes I want to include the message sender with the list (e.g. the sender is not subscribed to the list) These are real-world situations. I do not have a "single" reply button, I have several buttons that all allow me to include _MY_ reply, but go to different sources. If your MUA does not, then it lacks "critical features" that you require. Some people refer to this state as "broken". And fixing an email-client _is_ always an option. It's just not always the best option. In some cases, it's usually a better one to go find a better mail client. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
