What OS (including version) is the host computer running ? What OS (including version) is the client computer running ? Include the version of Wine if Wine is involved. How is Wine accessing the server ? Did you mount the server in the Macintosh layer, using an 'SMB://' URL, or did you use the Windows facilities to mount it inside Wine ?
