Coming from a multi-platform development company, I can confirm it's rather dangerous to rely on an available build and call that supporting (i.e. Linux). Your customer will hit issues just on linux. And how can you confidently assure it's working if you haven't tested it. I know the issue with Vxworks. it's hard to buy all those strange platforms, but linux should be a must to test before release! If you don't, you might be better off to drop support for this platform and leave the customer with an untested and unsupported option on their own risk. (But I think you buy yourself more credit points if you test it there).
