Simple: If you put on your release notes "tested on x,y,z" or "supported on x,y,z" then you test on those! For linux of course you mention the distribution, compiler and kernel versions.
If you actually make money with that, it's a matter of honesty to your customers that you don't lie about that. (if you don't make money with that, it should be your own pride - as it could be seen as your style of work....)
