Typically I would agree with you but in the case above I have replicated the issue in a stripped down example project so there should be no rogue memory allocation or threading happening. It even happens if you comment out all unnecessary calls so all you're left with is an empty Metro application and it still happens on ARM. I've sent this to Microsoft developer support who tell me it is most likely a problem with SQLite.
