Well the pi is UTC and the x86 is Pacific TZ but that's only a
difference of 7 hours.


pi:
$ date
Sun May  8 19:27:43 UTC 2016

x86:
% date
Sun May  8 12:27:56 PDT 2016


I'll set the TZ on the pi to match and see what happens.
