My problem is: The majority of album artwork shows correctly but a significant number do not. I think, but cannot be sure, that it is the ones where iTunes downloaded the artwork itself that aren't displayed. Can anyone help?
iTunes Artwork indeed can't easily be shown. There's an experimental option in the iTunes plugin settings to enable import of them. It might work or not. Give it a try.
Much simpler is embedding the artwork into the music files. Don't know whether this is easily possible with iTunes, though.
