A squeezebox always outputs 24 bits but the top 16 ones are cthe original bits so it should be compatible with all reciever circuits . Very strange that the vortexbox folks claims this is standard I never seen any transcoding process running when I played the admittedly few HDCD I have LMS just sends the file as it is to the player . What kind of player is this ?
