With a local squeezelight player cd is sent out over usb as 16bit without any padding. I can verify it in the stream0 file with tells me the exact bit rate/freq being sent to dac at any given time. Will then try an hdcd file and see if still 16. You sure lms outputs all as 24? Can't see squeezelite being able to differentiate between a real 24bit and a padded file on fly.
