I am looking forward to set up a new living room including a new TV and Sound System. I really like to use LMS through Hifiberry Digi+ with some sort of third party speakers and amplifiers. I haven't used the LMS DLNA Plugin yet but that might be an alternativ to the rasperrypi. Is the audi output through the dlna plugin synchronized over a long time just like it would be with 2 rasperryPis (except for the offset)? If using an amplifier like the Onkyo TX-NR545 it should be possible to switch between hdmi and dlna and I am not quite sure if it would make sense but is there a way to get the 5.1 DTS Audio from the TV into the LMS and play it over DLNA or Squeezelite on the amplifier as 5.1 Soundsystem for the TV? I am looking forward to your answers
