I use an rpi 2 running max2play as my main LMS server (I cannot manage
to make my qnap nas run the youtube plugin). It's fine apart from a bit
of latency now and again: and I am running it on wifi with the files on
the NAS (wired) and 2 SBT's as the players, also on wifi. It would
almost certainly work better if wired.

I imagine that an rpi 3 would be a bit sprightlier but if you have a 2
lying around, it will do the job.
