I was using my Homeplugs (Homeplug is the name of the standard aka Powerline) as an example of a "network outage" not necessarily your issue. "Network outage" just means connection from server to router and consider all possibilities (e.g faulty cable, faulty NIC). A way to see if problem is network realted would be to check if any other application on the server suffered a network "glitch" at the same time - to defintively test you could set "ping" going and correlate LMS outage with "ping" gaps/failures.
I've seen the missing string messages as well an could not make any sense from them. LMS is freshly installed and configured with the LMS nightly from Feb. 1st - I'm of the Impression that there is something broken in the current nightlies.
