Does the scan always fail at the same place ("5730 of 20438")? If so,
could be a problem with a file name or tags.
If I were trying to solve this, I'd load all my files into Mp3tag and
rewrite the tags: just drag all files onto Mp3tag main window, wait for
them to load, and click the "Save" icon. While there I'd also check all
my files for any extraneous tags and remove them: ALT-T when all files
highlighted and see what Extended Tags show up. If unsure about what
can be deleted, post back here. Finally, I'd use Mp3tag to rewrite all
the file names.
