I can't think of anything obvious that happened on Tuesday evening. We would have been sitting down to dinner at that time, no power failures that would have put the device on battery that I am aware of, I don't believe that there were any strange events wifi-wise. Of course it is perfectly possible that interference hit from outside. I think what I'm going to do is to move that SqueezeboxRadio back into the house, so that it is certainly in good coverage, just to be completely sure that a good connection removes the re-connect behaviour.
