Hi Can someone help please?
I am visiting my daughter's house at Christmas and have promised her access to my Squeezebox set up. Before I go I am testing installation from my work PC which is running Windows 10. I have been able to create a VPN and access my home server and can stream quite happily to my work PC using SqueezePlay. I am therefore confident that I can replicate this on my daughter's laptop. I want to go a stage further, if possible, and donate a Radio for greater portability around her house. I have brought this radio to work, installed the latest version of LMS 7.9 onto the PC and connected the radio. I have gone to the settings - Remote Music Libraries - and inputted the IP address for the home server. When I click on Remote Music Libraries in the web interface I get the message "No other media server was found in your network. Please make sure it's up and running and reachable. Then try again in a minute or two." I know that the IP address is correct as it works from a web browser. I am using 192.16,2,1:9000 What am I missing here? I want as simple a procedure as possible for my daughter so don't want to start accessing their router and making a Bridge connection. Many thanks!
