I just saw this thread and was wondering if your experience with not being able to play AIFF ripped in iTunes on 7.9 was shared by many others? I was just about ready to update to LMS 7.9.1 until I saw this. Most all of my music has been ripped in iTunes and I also use iPeng and sometimes Squeezepad. Currently I am running LMS 7.7.5 and everything works fine ie, I am able to play my AIFF files.
Your solution looks reasonable but I'm not sure if I want to go through that process. Not even sure what I will gain by upgrading. I don't follow this forum closely so I don't know if your situation was unique or if a bunch of people had a similar experience. Can you shed some light on this for me?
