Hi digimaster,
i am currently in a Project and really busy, so i had no time to test
your latest build, regarding the problem, Appender.pm is an perl module
that comes with slimserver, not from our perl package.
I am only guessing, what if jasell tries to start slimserver by.

/share/MD0_DATA/.qpkg/LogitechMediaServer/SlimServer/slimserver.pl --d_startup
--user squeezeboxserver --httpport 9001

to be sure the right perl is in use.
Also the the --d_startup will show better informations on the startup
Problems, for me either the wrong perl is in usage or a permisssion
Problem.
Today i will hopefully find time for Testing.
