Mnyb -- Yes, it is a new install and yes it is a big collection on a network share and yes I can just wait.
But seems to me, I can be wrong, that with three processes running, only one of which is the scanning/index building, that they can be architected/run in such a way as to make LMS available for configuration changes, listening to a stream until the collection is indexed and available, etc. The library scanning, indexing, and image gathering took 3+ hours and everything was 100% CPU most of that time. I should be able to at least listen to a radio stream that does not require access to the library or connect to MySqueezebox.com and listen to a stream that way. But the LMS web UI, or access via smartphone app, was non-functional. My attempts to modify priority and CPU usage were simply to get something I could listen to. But, in the end I had to wait for everything to be done anyway as renicing and CPU limiting still did not get access to the LMS. C'est la vie. Mnyb wrote: > Is this new install ?
